The contest will be held online in September 2022.
After the two successful seasons of Instrumental Music Contest for Amateur musicians in 2020 and 2021, Notes & Sargam is back with its 3rd season. The popular contest will be held online again this year as well, in September 2022.
The contest organiser Prashant Das said, “the idea of this contest is to encourage all music lovers, especially the ones who are learning the ropes by themselves without undertaking any formal music classes.” He adds, “The last two seasons have given us amazing talented instrumentalists. And, if you see their performances, it will be hard for you to believe that they are ‘untrained musicians’.”
So, this year also, this contest expects some seriously talented musicians who can make many ‘trained’ musicians envy of them. If you think you can play your musical instrument fairly well and that your talent should also get some eyeballs and some genuine feedback to improve your music, then this contest is a best platform for you.
The format of the contest is simple and transparent. Participants are given to play some easy songs on their instruments and based on three basic criteria – Sur, Taal and Lay (Melody, Beats and Rhythm), our judges select the winners. Participants are given ample time in each round to prepare their songs on their instruments.
Winners are given certificates and cash prizes. “This year, however, there could be few more surprise prizes for the winners which will be declared in due course of time,” said Prashant.
